These lightweight panels are constructed with hot-pressed epoxy resin, giving you extremely high strength while simultaneously reducing weight factors. The Phoenix Armor Panel offers dimensional stability, high fire-resistance rating, self-extinguishing characteristics and other security benefits. This cost effective system can withstand numerous hits from both small and heavy arms fire. Ideal protection for courthouses, board rooms, banks, safe rooms, hospitals, police stations, government facilities, airports and the most important areas in your building. Easy to integrate. Fabrication and Installation Cutting, Drilling, and Attachment Phoenix Armor panels can be cut and drilled using ordinary carpenter’s tools. A carbide or diamond grit edge blade is recommended for it. Installation and attachment of panels to existing structures is easily accomplished with bolts, screws, or industrial grade adhesive. Phoenix Armor panels can be attached to most substrates with adhesives, such as construction adhesive. For stronger adhesion, especially to non-porous substrates, including aluminum, steel and stainless steel, or bonding one panel to another. Phoenix Armor panels can be painted using high quality water- or oil- based paints. Urethane and epoxy paints/coatings will provide a more durable. For typical wall and millwork installa- tions a 4" wide batten strip of the same thickness material should be specified at the butt-joints to provide strength. Batten strips can be cut in the field from panels, or can be ordered from Glass Armor Solutions. Batten strips can be attached directly to the panels and should be used where any vertical or horizontal joints occur. Battens are not required in a 90o corner, as long panels can be attached directly to studs.

*It is recommended that all panel be used in conjunction with protected wall and window areas. Numerous hardware options are available to meet access and security needs; please consult factory for further information.
